President Bola Tinubu on Thursday said that the National Economic Council (NEC) should not have any reason to fail in the effort to bring economic relief to citizens.
He made the declaration at the Presidential, Abuja while inaugurating the council headed by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Following the removal of petroleum subsidy and the attendant hike in the cost of living, Tinubu had recently requested NEC to come up with measures to mitigate the effects.
He charged the council to support his administration in transforming the economic fortunes of the country, noting that the task of growing the nation’s economy is quite enomous.
