AHEAD of its national convention scheduled for December 9 – 10, 2017, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will on Saturday 18th conduct ward congresses to elect three-man ad-hoc delegates for the exercise.
This will be followed on Tuesday 21st by a similar exercise al local government level to elect national delegates.
This is in fulfillment of the Electoral Guidelines for the 2017 National Convention of the Party which stipulates that each Ward Chapters of the Party shall elect three Ward Ad-Hoc Delegates at a Special Ward Congress for the purpose of nominating National Delegates at the Local Government Congress for the Convention.
Accordingly, the National Caretaker Committee (NCC) of the Party has nominated selected Party members to serve on Electoral Committees and Electoral Appeal Panels for the Conduct of Ward Congresses for the three-man Ad-Hoc Delegates and Local Government Congresses for the National Delegates nationwide.
A statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday by the National Organizing Secretary of the party, Senator Abdul Ningi, also said the Electoral Appeal Panel for the three-man ad-hoc delegates will seat on Monday, November 20 while that of the local government congresses will seat on Wednesday, November 22.
