The pubic Account committee of the Senate has said it was ready to receive and quizz the Clerk of the National Assembly Arch. Ojo Olatunde for utilization of funds to the bureaucracy he heads.
Matthew Urhoghide said this in an exclusive interview with Tribune Online at his office in Abuja.
Urhoghide said the Clerk of the national Assembly is not insulated from accounting to the public on how he has spent public funds on behalf of the people in this case the parliament.

He said he will account for all funds to the Senate, House of Representatives and all other Commission or agencies under the national assembly.
He told Tribune Online that “We have summoned the Clerk of the national assembly, (Arch. Ojo Olatunde) he is going to appear before us. So anything that is done on the account of the Senate or House of Reps account he will account for them.
“Or what is done in National Institute of Democratic Studies (NILDS) account or any other agency that is under the national assembly is the Clerk, he will be held responsible. If there is any refund he will refund to us.”
He said the processes and procedures must be corrected, for the nation to hold itself accountable on the use of public funds, and, the National Assembly must be the leading light.
