An aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in next year governorship election in Anambra state, Chief Valentine Ozigbo, has given an assurance that with his 30 years experience in transnational businesses and his longtime relationship with relevant political stakeholders in the state was an indication that he may be victoriously favoured to emerge as PDP consensus candidate.
Ozigbo, who is the immediate past President of the Transnational Corporation PLC (Transcorp), disclosed this during an interactive session with journalists via virtual, making mention of his relationship with people like the former governor of the state, Mr Peter Obi, Senator Ben Obi, Chief Chris Uba, Senator Stella Uduah, Chief Obinna Ozor and a lot of other supporters across the 21 local government area of the state and also speaks on his preparation ahead of the election, yesterday in Awka, Anambra State Capital.
According to him, with my bold decision to step down as CEO, for the tough contest to complement the efforts of the past and present administration in the state as a standard-bearer of PDP, I am fully ready to slug it out with whoever emerges the governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties also vying for the number one seat.
He noted that with the unify state executive, under the leadership of Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu, the party was on the right path to producing the next governor of Anambra state after 14 years as an opposition.
While acknowledging PDP recent donation of 120 million naira to cushion the effect of COVID-19 pandemic and other humanitarian services rendered so far to Ndi Anambra as opposition, Chief Ozigbo, expressed optimism that with the kind gesture, PDP was at the verge of harvesting a greater number of decamps from other political parties including APGA and APC.

He boasted that he remain virile, most competent and optimistic in the PDP platform, to challenge the likes of Professor Charles Soludo, Senator Chris Ngige, Senator Andy Uba, Chief George Mogahalu, Hon. Tony Nwoye and Senator Ifeanyi, Ubah says to be contesting the governorship election.
One of his aide, Mr Ohafia who also speaking during the zoom meeting, enjoined PDP leaders and members in Anambra state to remain firm and loyal to the party, noting that the chances of the PDP’s Aspirant, Chief Ozigbo, emerging victorious during the governorship election if given the ticket, were very bright for transformation sake.
