The Provost, Anambra State College of Health Technology (ASCOHT), Obosi, Dr. Robinson Ameachi Mgbakaogu, said he would improve the educational policies of the college under his watch to global standard.
He also commended Governor Willie Obiano for his love towards health and education sectors in the state, pointing out the performances recorded in the sectors under his administration.
According to him, there had been massive improvement in infrastructure in the college such as the building of a storey block female hostel, standard library, four blocks of classrooms and standard canteen.
Dr Mgbakaogu added that the laboratories in all the demonstration clinic and environment health demonstration ground had been fully equipped.
The provost canvassed for a collaboration between the private sector and government, which he said had potential to produce critical thinkers from the college.
“In 2021 under my watch, the college mobilised its graduands for the first time to participate in the National Youth Services Scheme (NYSC) programme”, Mgbakaogu disclosed.
Anambra State College of Health Technology, Obosi, was established in 1992 after the creation of the present Anambra State in 1991. It was established by law of the Anambra State House of Assembly to train the much needed middle level manpower in the health sector.
