The winner of Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, has promised to attract tremendous change to Ebonyi state when inaugurated.
Ogah disclosed this to newsmen at his residence in Abakaliki, during the weekend after the Appeal Court sitting in Enugu, Enugu state of Nigeria, sacked the member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives under the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Lazarus Nweru Ogbee and declared him (Ogah) winner of the election.
His words: “My victory at the tribunal and Appeal court has shown truly that the judiciary is the last hope of the common man and it has also shown that the judiciary is the people that you cannot toy with, they are upright and doesn’t collect bribe to pervert justice. They believe in what is right and saw that my constituents voted for me during the February 23 National Assembly election.
“The judiciary has restored the hope of the masses by restoring my stolen mandate. My coming into the National Assembly will bring tremendous changes in my constituency and the state in general in the sense that there will be no more time that the quota of Ebonyi in federal recruitment will be sold out as it used to be.

“Ebonyi people have no Commissioner of Police, nobody that is Director of SSS is Ebonyi man and it is the duty of a legislator to speak for So, I can’t be a legislator and there is a quota of police in the recruitment for Ebonyi and it will be sold out.
“In the recent police recruitment, Ebonyi quota was reduced from 150 to 100. I can’t be in the National Assembly and such a thing will continue to happen. I cannot be a National Assembly member and the ecological fund will be going to another place and it will not come to my constituency. I am not going to the National Assembly to fight people, I am going there to do what is right and speak for my constituents.”
He, however, thanked his opponent that gave him a fight which made his name to enter into the book of Guinea’s. Even as he urged Ebonyians to come together and joined hands together to harness the potentials in the state.
He also promised to assist his opponent to recover all the money he has spent in the course of their fight.
“Lazarus Ogbee my opponent in as much he is my senior by age, he still remains my boy because I made him a coordinator, made him a local government chairman, so there is no way he can stand me in an election. I will still help him because to feed his family will be difficult for him now.”
Earlier, Ogah vowed to restructure his party All Progressive Congress (APC), have youths integration, and flag off operation have something doing when he assumed office.
Recall that Justice Ignatius Agube in the ruling on Friday upheld the judgement of the Election Petition Tribunal and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to with immediate effect, issue Chinedu Ogah of the APC certificate of return having scored the highest number of valid votes cast in the February general election.
