The National President of the Music Promoters Association of Nigeria (MUPAN), Qarmorudeen Tiamiyu, has inaugurated a new executive to lead the Oyo State chapter of the association for the next three years.
During the inauguration, Tiamiyu charged the new executive to abide by the rules and regulations of the association, as well as run an all-inclusive administration.
The election, which was held at the Union House in Ibadan, had about 250 members of the association in attendance
The newly-sworn in executive include, Oyediran Ademola as Governor; Bashiru Abdulazeez the deputy governor.

Others are Olalekan Abiodun Ojo as secretary; Waheed Oladeji as treasurer; Olusola Adebola, Kelani Bashiru and Tunde Badmus as financial secretary, P.R.O. and auditor respectively.
Tiamiyu told Saturday Tribune that marketers, who shortchanged artistes by duplicating their work, are clogs in the progress of genuine marketers, but promised to do his best to finding a lasting solution to the problem
He, however, described royalties from the association’s members as “very important” to the development of the association and therefore charged all stations across the federation to ensure payment of royalties.
The Ogun State chapter of the association was inaugurated few days ago, while a Caretaker Committee shall be in place in Lagos State branch until an election is conducted in the state.
