Worried by the spate of violence in marriages that have led to the break-ups and deaths of many young spouses, entertainment personality, Toke Makinwa has hit out at those who stay in violent marriages, urging them to leave.
Makinwa, who clocked 34 last week, is also a victim of a broken home, as her marriage to Maje Ayida crashed two years ago, with Makinwa accusing her former husband of infidelity.
The TV and radio host, who was yet to reveal the new man in her life, in one of her posts on Twitter, spoke against the violent marriages that have continued to put many people’s lives in danger.
According to the vlogger, marriage is not by force, just as he said that no one should go around hitting anyone all in the name ofmarriage.

The author of the popular book, On Becoming, insisted that if any spouse was tired of their partners, they should rather move out than hit their partners.
“Marriageis not by force; no one should go around hitting anyone. If you are tired, leave. Go, remove yourself by all means, but don’t hit your partner,” she urged.
