Man docked for allegedly stealing 12 rubber slippers

A Sharia court in Kano, presided over by Justice Umar Lawal Abubakar, has arraigned Abdulkadir Musa for allegedly stealing 12 pairs of rubber slippers valued at N18,000.

Abdulkadir Musa, a resident of Fagge Quarters in Kano, is facing a charge of theft.

The prosecution counsel, Inspector Abdullahi Wada, informed the court that the complainant, Sunusi Mamuda, who also resides in Fagge Quarters, reported the incident at Fagge Police Station in Kano on June 30th.

Wada alleged that on the aforementioned date at 6:30 p.m., the defendant stole 12 pairs of rubber slippers worth N18,000 from the complainant.

Furthermore, Wada stated that the defendant worked at the complainant’s shop in Kwari market, where the theft took place.

However, in response to the charges, the defendant pleaded guilty.

The judge, Malam Umar Lawal-Abubakar, granted bail to the defendant in the amount of N10,000.

The case was adjourned for summary trial on July 18th.
