A 60-year-old man, Timothy Nwonoro, who allegedly damaged a building and shops valued at N6 million, was on Wednesday brought before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State.
Evans, whose address was not provided, is facing a charge of malicious damage, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, ASP. Akpan Ikem told the court that the defendant committed the offence on May 12, at about 11 a.m at No. 30 Olorunleke Agbagbin Elesho St., and Divine Bus Stop, Ijanikin area of Lagos.
Ikem said the defendant maliciously damaged a building structure and shop valued at N6 million belonging to the Complainant, Mrs Florence Adekoya.
“He was arrested by the complainant and others and handed over to the police,” he said.

The offence contravened Section 339 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).
The Chief Magistrate, Patrick Adekomaya, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case until July 9, for hearing.
