Makinde commended over appointment of Falana as youth development agency boss

The governor of Oyo State, Mr Seyi Makinde, has been commended for the appointment of Prince Adebowale Falana as the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development.

Ambassador and Special Adviser, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), South-West Zone D, Dr Idowu Adewumi, gave the commendation in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Saturday.

Adewumi commended Governor Makinde for making a visionary choice in appointing Prince Falana. This strategic decision underscores the governor’s commitment to fostering youth development and harnessing the potential of young leaders to drive progress and innovation within the state.

He noted that Falana’s appointment is a testament to his unwavering dedication, proven leadership, and commitment to the development and empowerment of the youth in Oyo State, stating that his exemplary track record in various capacities has evidently prepared him for this pivotal role.

Adewumi urged all stakeholders, including youth organisations, educational institutions, and community leaders, to support Prince Adebayo in his new role.

He stated that collective effort and collaboration are essential in achieving the goals set forth by the Oyo State Youth Development Agency and ensuring that the youth are adequately equipped to contribute meaningfully to society.”

Similarly, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone D, under the leadership of Comrade John Alao, has expressed confidence that under Prince Adebayo’s leadership, the Oyo State Youth Development Agency will thrive in its mission to create and implement impactful programmes aimed at enhancing the skills, opportunities, and overall well-being of the youth.

The student body posited that his deep understanding of the challenges faced by young people, combined with his proactive approach, positions him as a catalyst for positive change.
