The present economic recession has been attributed to lack commitment to God by leaders in the country.
This was the submission by the General Overseer and founder of Father’s House Bible Church, Warri, Pastor Richmond Leigh, ahead of the Nativity and Jesus Mega Party, an epic drama of the birth of Jesus Christ, an annual event of the church.
He noted that recession was not a challenge to children of God who truly served their Father in spirit and in truth.
He urged leaders to be committed to God in their daily activities as this was the only way to rescue the nation out of the economic downturn.
The praise concert, according to Pastor Leigh, is an avenue to give glory to God, as a way of inviting the Holy Spirit to occupy the land.
Pastor Leigh called on all Nigerians to be committed to God.
“We all know there are issues of Avengers, kidnapping, militancy and high rate of crime in the Niger Delta region, and Warri is known for it.
“So, we are inviting the glory of the Lord to cover this town and to remind the people that Jesus only is the way to peace.
“When the Holy Spirit dwells upon this land, when men are filled, they will become a new creature,” the cleric noted.
