The Lagos State Police command has begun investigations into the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of a 16-year-old boy, Ogunbode Kodri, who has been missing since the 16th of January 2025.
The missing teenager reportedly told his girlfriend that he was going to church and has not returned home since then .
Unconfirmed reports had it that the pastor of the church and his accomplice were arrested in connection with the missing child.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin, while speaking with Tribune Online, denied that any pastor had been arrested in connection with the disappearance of the teenager.

He also denied that the pastor and any accomplice confessed to the police that the missing teenager was killed after over one million naira was transferred from his account.
Hundeyin said, ” It is true that the boy is missing. That is what his family claimed. I have called the DPOs around the area and even the State CID. No pastor was arrested in connection with the case.”
He, however, assured that the police in the state have begun investigations and would unravel the circumstances behind the disappearance of the missing boy
