The Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Adams has described the scene of the Sunday explosion in Abule Ado area of Lagos State as “similar to that of Syria and Iraq.”
The OPC leader while inspecting the level of damage at the site of the explosion also described it as a “collateral and devastating loss.”

Adams who is the immediate past chairman of the community development association of the affected area also urged the Lagos State government to investigate the explosion beyond pipeline accident.
Aare Adams also said that “I lived here for over fifteen years and I witnessed two pipeline explosion and none of them was as devastating as this one.
“This explosion shook the foundation of houses as far as Agbara. This is more than just a pipeline explosion.”
