The commissioner of police in Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu has charged the newly-promoted Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to be more responsible.
The police boss, while decorating the newly- promoted police officers also said that their new rank comes with more expectations from the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force.
The officers, who were before now, superintendents of police( SP)were also warned not to see their new rank as a license to soil the image of the force.
CP Odumosu, who was assisted by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations Muhammed Muazu and Yetunde Longe, who supervises the Criminal Investigations Department also promised the new CSP to cooperate with them.
The Lagos police boss said, ” I want to start by saying congratulations to all of you and I thank God for your elevation to this enviable rank.”
” The CSP rank is not a small rank in the Nigeria Police Force and it comes with a lot of responsibility. Now you are expected to be more responsible than in the past .”
Odumosu also continued that “your names are now property documented with the Nigeria Police Force. This is not the end of your career. You are just starting a new phase .”
” Now you are a decision-maker and you have to be more professional Your decisions will determine a lot of things and I want to assure you of the cooperation of the Lagos State Police Command.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the operation, Muhammed Muazu also called on the new CSP s tp see the new promotion as a call to responsibility.
The newly decorated officers are Sunday Oladimeji, Kazeem Sunmonu-Abonde, Jimoh Amodu, Moses Adeduro , Edith Ezinwa, Ayodele Arogbo, Mathew Olaore, Shadrack Oriloye, Nkanga Emeka Sunday Ayeni, Kenneth Iyayi, Shadrack Kayode, Tajudeen Mustapha and Ekundayo Olutekunbi.
Others are: Lawrence Chineye Bestman Sali, Joseph Isiagu, Rasheed Mustapha, Rotimi Owobo, Rilwan Maliki, Olalekan Ogundare, Ismaila Amusa, Johnson Adagba, Adams Adeyemi, Atilade Adegoke, Catherine Ugorji and Ene Okon
