The Chief Imam of Lagos State, Sheikh Sulaiman Abu-Nolla, has called on Nigerians to stand in unity and participate in the coming elections without perpetrating any form of violence.
Sheikh Abu-Nolla said in an interview that “it is our civic duty as Nigerians to participate in the elections,” urging all to pray for peace and the emergence of leaders who would be sincere and faithful to the citizens.

“I will advise all our clerics and scholars to pray for the nation. They should advise all Muslims to all participate peacefully in the coming elections. May Allah make it easy,” he said.
Also, the vice chairman of the Lagos Central Mosque Executive Council, Chief Sikiru Alabi, urged youths to resist being used as hoodlums during the elections.
“During our youth days, what we used to do was to participate in preparing voters and do other things that would makeelections go smoothly. But the way things are going now, we keep praying that everything will be okay,” he said.
