Kwara govt commences payment of 2024 CONMESS to medical workers

The Kwara State Government has commenced the payment of the 2024 Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS) to all medical doctors in the state.

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Ahmed El-Imam, confirmed the payment of the consolidated salary along with arrears, stating that the development aligns the salaries of Kwara State’s medical practitioners with federal standards, ensuring equitable compensation for their essential services.

“The salaries have been disbursed with arrears, which reflects the government’s commitment to improving the welfare of healthcare professionals in the state,” she said.

The Commissioner added that the initiative is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the state’s healthcare infrastructure and retain skilled medical personnel.

Dr El-Imam further reiterated that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has been commended for his administration’s dedication to public welfare, particularly in the health sector.

The recent approval and implementation of the adjusted 2024 CONMESS for doctors brings Kwara State in line with the Federal Government’s salary structure.
