Few days after the abduction of the wife of a medical doctor, Dr Dzwachi and one other woman in Makurdi, Benue State capital, the wife of Commissioner for Lands and Survey in Benue State, Mrs Ann Unenge has also been kidnapped.
Mrs Unenger, according to the source was kidnapped on Thursday at about 6:00 pm in Makurdi.
The said abductors were reported to have gone away with a new model Toyota Highlander which she drove.
According to a source, the suspected kidnappers might have been on the trail of the woman because she was said to have attempted to run away when the kidnappers drove and crossed her vehicle.
It was gathered that the woman was returning to town from Daudu community where she had gone to visit her parents when she was abducted near the B Division Police Station.
Sources said she started raising alarm to draw the attention of people to her plight but the abductors who shot sporadically to scare away people sped off with her before help could come.
At the time of this report, it was not known if the abductors had reached out to the family or demanded ransom.
When contacted, the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Catherine Anene said a case of the missing person and not abduction was reported to the police by her family.
