The kidnappers of two officers of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) abducted on Sunday in Osun, collected N1.8million before releasing their victims on Tuesday night, Nigerian Tribune reliably gathered.
Security source informed our correspondent that a sum of N900, 000 was paid on each of the abductees before they could be released by their captors.
Nigerian Tribune authoritatively gathered that the officers simply identified as Abioye and Bayegunni who were allegedly abducted between Iwaraja, in Oriade local government area of Osun and Ipetu-Ijesa breathed an air of freedom on Tuesday night.
The kidnapped FRSC officers who were serving in the Ondo State command were said to be traveling back to Akure when gunmen waylaid them between Iwaraja and Ipetu-Ijesa before whisking them away to an unknown destination.

A top officer of the FRSC, who pleaded anonymity confirmed their release to our correspondent during a telephone chat.
Meanwhile, our correspondent was reliably informed that three other victims were released alongside the two freed FRSC officers.
The other three persons, whose identities could not be ascertained may have been kidnapped by the hoodlums before the two FRSC officers were abducted.
Besides, a corpse of an unidentified kidnapped victim which was said to have been recovered at the scene of the abduction along Iwaraja axis had been deposited at the morgue of Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa.
Though details surrounding the release of the two FRSC officers were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Osun State Police command, Mrs. Folasade Odoro confirmed their release to journalists in Osogbo.
