Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State have affirmed their loyalty and cooperation with the ruling party at both state and national levels.
The event, which took place at the presidential lodge in Birnin Kebbi early in the week, has former civilian governors of the state, such as Senator Muhammad Adamu Alieru, Sa’idu Usman Dakingari, immediate past governor, Senator Atiku Bagudu, all pledging their renewed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris.

Alieru, who mounted the rostrum alongside two other senators who defected to the APC from the PDP, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi and Senator Garba Musa Maidoki, voiced unshakable support for the president and the governor.
“My defection to the APC is to facilitate development under our leader, President Tinubu, at the federal level and Governor Nasir Idris.
“I am a staunch supporter of President Tinubu; hence, my political aide and supporters mandated me in good faith to return to the APC to join hands in accelerating the pace of development and growth, which tallied with my service,” Alieru said.
Governor Nasir Idris, who inaugurated the Tinubu/Kaura 2 Times Committee under the chairmanship of the managing director of the Rima River Basin Development Authority and retired Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs, Abubakar Gari Mallam, highlighted the essence of governance, adding that the essence of governance is the delivery of the dividends of democracy to the citizenry, noting that President Tinubu has been magnanimous to Kebbi in delivering such dividends to the state, which reinforced our belief that he’s the right person to continue to steer the affairs of our dear nation.
The governor expressed gratitude for the massive support shown to him by the people of Kebbi and assured that his administration’s record of achievements would be indelible, pointing out that his administration had impacted positively on all sectors, which would be sustained as he promised to examine areas where mistakes were made and make necessary corrections.
Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, commended Governor Nasir Idris for facilitating federal presence in Kebbi State, saying the governor had endeared himself to the president for the benefit of the state’s people, urging the people to redouble their support for President Tinubu in subsequent polls.
“Kebbi gave Tinubu massive support in the 2023 elections, and we should become the pillar of Tinubu’s support with attendant reciprocal gestures of development projects,” he said.
The Kebbi APC chairman, Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru, admonished members of the National and State Assemblies from Kebbi State, Commissioners, Special Advisers, Local Government Chairmen, and other public office holders to provide necessary material and financial support to their communities or risk replacement.
