Former gubernatorial candidates who contested on the platform of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) have resolved to collapse their structures in their respective states to join the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Mallam Hayatu Lawal, who was the 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the PRP in Kaduna state, disclosed this in Abuja.

Not less than eight members of the governors forum made this pledge in Abuja where they assured the leadership of the SDP that they will swell the votes of the coalition come 2027 against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), on the ballot.
