Tragedy struck on Tuesday night in Osogbo, capital of Osun State when a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving in the state, Adebayo Mukaila, was shot dead by two-man armed robbery gang.
Tribune Online authoritatively gathered that the deceased who owns a container made-shop at Omo-west street close to the NYSC Secretariat in the state capital.
Until his death, Mukaila sells recharge cards and provides Point of Sales (POS) services.
He was attacked by the armed robbers after closing at his shop.
The incident which caused panic around the area was said to have occurred around 11.00 pm

Sources informed our correspondent that after dispossessing him of his bag containing cash, POS machine, recharge cards and a bunch of keys, the hoodlums shot him on the head and thereafter escaped from the scene on a motorcycle.
An eyewitness, Alani Azeez, who lives around the area hinted that the incident occurred late in the night and the sound of gunshots scared the people from coming to the rescue of the deceased.
He added that his daughter was with him when he was shot by the armed robbers.
When contacted, an official of the Public Relations Unit of the state NYSC, Mrs Catherine Otemuyiwa, confirmed that the deceased was a serving corps member in the state.
She further disclosed that the NYSC secretariat in the state has contacted his family, while the incident has been reported to the Police.
