A Nigerian Air Force aircraft on routine mission in the North-East has lost contact with the radar and its whereabouts unknown.
Tha Nigerian Air Force announced this development in a statement on Thursday morning, saying the plane was on the mission to support the Theatre Operation going on in the North-East.
Accorcing to the statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet: “A NAF aircraft on routine mission in support of troops at one of the theatres of operation in the Northern part of Nigeria has lost radar contact.
“Efforts are currently ongoing to locate its whereabouts.”
