The President of the Apex Igbo social-cultural organization, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Anambra State chapter, Chief Demian Ogene-Okeke has described the new appointment of Amina Zakari, the niece of President Muhammadu Buhari as the head of presidential election collation of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, as a threat to the 2019 Presidential election.
Chief Okeke, who spoke to our correspondent in Awka, the state capital, while reacting on the appointment said it shows President Buhari and the electoral body headed by Prof. Yakubu Mahmood are not planning to conduct a free, fair and credible election in Nigeria.
He urged President Buhari, not to allow Nigerians doubt his integrity, transparency, and accountability he promised the people during the election peace pact he signed in Abuja.

He added that his determination and focus to fight against corruption, campaign of calumny against his person and other political office holders under his watch will be put to public shame if he fails to revised the said appointment.
Above all, it will pave way for vote buying, electoral violence, ballot box snatching, among other social vises during the presidential election.
Nigerians should not be deceived because both the Presidency and the INEC will all be made to account on how the the election was conducted before the international communities.
He urged Nigerians to avoid sentiments but to kick against the appointment before February 16, Presidential election.
Ohaneze! Ariwo koni music! Empty barrel lo man pariwo
This is the height of desperation” Mr integrity”. INEC chairman your relation, then this one again a niece as the head of collation of election? Haba. This is not good. This is wrong.
Threat to the failures
This is the first step in rigging the general election. It’s unfortunate!
Where is the threat. Atiku is a looser no money to share and no popularity that is why PDP is at stand still
Shehu Mohammed if you don’t say the truth as it is, it will elude you one day
Haba oga Buhari
So this is your own definition & promise to guarantee transparent, free & fair election abi?
It’s mere ethical issue, and not even have been politicized. Why should we subjected to another round of verbal and physical wars? Is she the only one capable? What does lnec stand to lose, if she step aside? This is an unfortunate decision
Tribune are yet to know that, Igbos are nothing to write about in this country.
