Organisers of the annual Media Consortium Conference Awards (MCCA) have said the thematic focus of this year’s edition of the event will be on consumer expectations and how such can be met in a troubled economy.
The organisers, in a statement, noted that the event’s theme, ‘Meeting the Brand/Consumer’s Expectation in a Challenging Economy,’ is imperative considering the challenges brands and consumers in this part of the globe have had to grapple with and their expectations in a troubled economy such as Nigeria’s.
One of the highlights of the event is the choice of the lead speaker, Yinka Adebayo, a marketing professional and Group Executive Director at Omnicom Media Group, WECA, who, the organisers explained, has been carefully chosen to do justice to the topic.
Adebayo will be bringing his wealth of experience in the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) sector, particularly in advertising and media investment.
His keynote address is expected to provide insights on meeting brand and consumer expectations in today’s challenging economic environment.
Other seasoned professionals expected to provide diverse viewpoints and practical strategies, at the event, include Media and Insights Manager at Rite Foods, Adedotun Ajibade; Lecturer, Department of Mass Communication, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, Dr Dare Ogunyombo and Communications Lead at 9mobile, Chineze Amanfo, among others.
The Marketing Director at Cadbury Nigeria, Morolake Emokpaire, is also expected to present a paper at the one-day event.
