I’II establish Ogun West University if elected ― Abiodun

The flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has promised that his administration, if elected into office, will establish a University in Ogun West Senatorial District.
He dropped the hint while responding to the request made by the Oloke of Oke-Odan, Oba (Dr) Oluremi Fagbenro, in continuation of his ward to ward campaign in Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State, on Thursday.
Abiodun acknowledged the fact that only the district had no university in the state while the remaining two districts have universities in their areas.
He promised that his government would implement free education from primary school to Junior Secondary School (JSS) 3 class, and also award scholarships as well.
“With my vast experience in the private sector, I am going to bring it to bear into governance in Ogun State.
“I want to assure you that our administration will facilitate the completion of Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority (OORBDA) project for the benefits of the masses and also create job opportunities for job seekers.
“I have heard a lot of things. APC is the party that we have at the Federal, State, local and ward levels. So, in order to attract Federal government’s projects in our state, let us cast our votes for the ruling APC.
“Also, my running mate, Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele, is your daughter from Ogun West. You have a lot of opportunities to benefit from her inclusion in the upper echelon of the administration if we are elected into office”, said Abiodun.
The monarch charged the APC governorship candidate to be a good ambassador of the party if elected.
“We need a university in Yewaland, because in Ogun State, we have four universities and they are concentrated in Ogun East and Ogun Central districts (two each) respectively, while Ogun West has none.
“Also, in Ogun West, the three model colleges we have here are in bad condition, especially the one at Idi-Iroko. The model college in Idi-Iroko has been collapsing gradually, except urgent steps are taken to rehabilitate it”, Oba Fagbenro said.
