I won’t probe previous govt, it slows down administration ― Makinde

THE gubernatorial candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in Oyo state, Mr Seyi Makinde has debunked any insinuations that his administration will probe the current administration of Senator Abiola Ajimobi if voted Into power.

He said “I will not spend my time probing the last government. I don’t have that time. If you look at our manifesto, we are talking about accelerated development, that means knowing where we can get the brains that can assist us. That is going to be our focus.

“Some people have done it in the past, they don’t recover anything and when they recover it was looted again. So, it’s a waste of time. We are going to write skate clean and start all over.”

On the security of the state, Makinde stated further that “My own idea of security is when the rich and the poor can both go to bed and sleep well but the situation we have now is that both categories of people cannot sleep.

“We have to put them to work. When I look at them, I don’t see individuals, but what I see are potentials that are locked in which we need to unlock and then unleash them into the economy and the society will start moving again.”

Makinde the assured that his administration will definitely review the security level in the state with the aim of securing lives and properties better in the state.
