The Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has promised to support and defend any law enacted in the country whether by federal, state or local governments to guarantee peaceful coexistence.
He made this assertion during the PDP Presidential rally held at the Aper Aku stadium, Makurdi the Benue state capital.
The former vice president noted that he believed in the rule of law and would not work against a law enacted by any state of Assembly in the country.
“if voted as president in the forthcoming presidential election, I will provide them with adequate security in order to secure lives and property. This is because every human endeavour need security in order to flourish.
”Once the laws are not protected insecurity will be on the rise, and this will result to anarchy. Vote for Governor Samuel Ortom and other PDP candidates so that we can work together to give you the desired security.

”You know that I always stand for the rule of law and I will not deviate from that if I am elected the president,” he maintained.
Atiku also promised to create enabling an environment for the youths to succeed in all ventures that they might engage themselves in and also create jobs.
”I always stand for the interest of the youths. I will give them the opportunity to succeed us. I will create an enabling environment that will generate employment for the youths.
”I will also develop agriculture in such a way that processing industries will be established to add value to it,” he said.
Former Senate President, Senator David Mark urged the people to vote overwhelmingly for Atiku so that he could give them adequate protection, stressing that he would also create jobs for the youths.
Governor Ortom in his address said what Benue people wanted was security of their lives and property adding that Atiku remained the right candidate who will defend the laws and people of the state.
