THE Movement for Sustainable Development of Igala /Bassa Nation (MOSUDIBN) has called on people of Kogi to shun violence in all ramifications during the gubernatorial election coming up a few days time.

This was contained in a communique issued at the end of their meeting which was duly jointly signed by the National Chairman, Comrade Daniel Salifu and the General Secretary, Comrade Ekele Okeme and made available to Nigerian Tribune in Lokoja on Monday.

The group warned that the use of thuggery, humiliation and intimidation that would cause chaos and violence to disrupt the election on the election day should be avoided in order not to experience bloodletting before, during and after the election as such is not in there culture.

The movement further called on the electorate to do the needful with the incoming opportunity to vote massively and electing candidate of their choice stressing that if there are plans or plot to turn Kogi State into a war zone so as to enable selfish politicians to buy votes and rig the election, the association, therefore, called on the security agents to take proactive measure to apprehend such person and bring the culprits to book.

The movement also advised further that election will come and go, but as brothers and sisters, they will remain.

“We shall not allow anything that will bring acrimony and also disharmony within us in the state. The association equally advised all Socio-Cultural Organization in Igala/ Bassa land to cooperate and embrace teamwork to attain the desired goal for the kingdom.
