Governor Oyetola
THE management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has described the appointment of the Commissioner for Education in Osun State, Hon. Folorunso Olayinka Oladoyin, as a round peg in a round hole.
It also commended the governor of the state, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, for appointing a member of the staff of the polytechnic, Dr. Babatunde Olawale, as the Commissioner for Science and Technology.
Dr. Olawale, a former Director of Information and Communication Technology of the polytechnic, was also the Head of Department of Computer Engineering in the institution until his appointment.
The institution expressed the belief that Dr. Olawale would bring innovations that would improve the technological advancement of the state.

A congratulatory message signed by the registrar of the institution, Mr. Busari Salawu, said “the appointment of Honourable Oladoyin is very accurate, timely and sacrosanct to meet up with the vision, mission and aspirations of the state government in order to sustain the provision of quality education in the state.”
The polytechnic noted Oladoyin’s contributions to educational advancement of the state when he was chairman, House Committee on Education in the state assembly.
In the same vein, the polytechnic has also felicitated the Special Adviser on Education, Alhaji Jamiu Olawumi, describing him as an astute journalist whose deep knowledge and experience in media practice would assist governor Oyetola to paddle the canoe of the state to a safe harbour.
