The Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon Mai Mala Buni, has empowered youths in the state with the provision of cash stipends for self-sustenance.
A cross-section of beneficiaries of the N50,000 and N100,000 respectively described the gesture as a monumental and an attempt aiming at making then self-reliant.

They said the initiative of the governor is first of its kind in the history of the state since creation for over two decades.
The beneficiaries include bread and tea sellers, vulcanizers and other entrepreneurs which would no doubt boost their economic activities.
