Gombe State Governor, Muhammdu Inuwa Yahaya has said that his administration will continue to work in partnership with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in order to ensure that road users in the state adhere strictly to traffic rules and regulations.
The governor stated this on Tuesday when he received in audience, the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC), Dr Boboye Oyeyemi at the Government House, Gombe.
He described services rendered by the FRSC as humanitarian saying that his administration will continue to promote values that will ensure safety on the roads.
He also commended the Federal Road Safety Corps for its support to the government and people of the state, especially as it concerns the safety of road users and other security-related matters.

Inuwa Yahaya further said that his administration has since embarked on massive roads construction across the state to link up communities, make driving safer, easier and more pleasurable.
While speaking earlier, the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi commended the Inuwa Yahaya-led administration for embarking on the construction of roads across the state which he observed is critical to the safety of road users.
He intimated the governor on the need for such roads to bear road signs, saying the corps is ready to partner with the State Government in the production and placement of such road signs.
He thanked the Gombe State Government for donating a piece of land upon which the newly built State Command’s office Complex was constructed, saying that the new office will enhance the performance of officers and men of the Corps in State.
While advocating for the creation of road safety clubs in Primary and Secondary schools in the state, Boboye Oyeyemi paid glowing tribute to the governor on his Gombe Goes Green (3G) initiative which seeks to conserve the environment and create jobs for the youths.
The highlight of the visit was the decoration of Governor Inuwa Yahaya as a patron of special marshal of the FRSC as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity.
