The Consul General of Germany in Nigeria, Dr. Stefan Traumann, on Monday in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, commended the management of Centre for Black Culture and International (CBCIU) for preserving archival materials on Professor Ullli Beier.
He gave the commendation during the official opening of Professor Ullli Beier archive, located within the precinct of CBCIU.
Traumann described as impressive the preservation of the archival materials, just as he lauded CBCIU management for keeping the agreement with late Professor Ullli Beier.

Speaking during the event, the chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of CBCIU and former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola maintained that all the archival materials on Ullli Beier were intact.
He explained that CBCIU would continue to play its roles as a leading stakeholder in the promotion of African cultural heritage and reservoir for historical materials needed for academic research.
In his remark, the executive director of CBCIU, Professor Siyan Oyeweso noted that the archive would assist researchers and scholars who might need contents around the works done by Ulli Bieer in his lifetime.
Prominent artists trained by Ulli Bieer, who attended the opening ceremony included Chief Jimoh Buraimo, Chief Yemi Elebuubon and Chief Muraina Oyelami, among others.
