Ganduje offers blind volunteer-teacher automatic employment

KANO State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has offered automatic teaching employment to a blind teacher, Dahuru Abdulhamid Idris, who has been teaching voluntarily in one of the schools in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to Kano governor, Comrade Abba Anwar, a copy made available to pressmen in Kano on Sunday.

The statement stated that the Idris was introduced to the governor by the Commissioner of Education, Muhammadu Sanusi Kiru.

Ganduje was quoted to have told the Idris that “you are a real model, whose visual impairment does not stand as a stumbling block for your development.

“You are taking the right step in your life. The Kano State government is giving you automatic employment of teaching.

“And I have directed the State Commissioner of Education to post you to Tudun Maliki Special Education School.”
