Former Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology in Ogun State, Mr John Segun Odubela (SAN) is dead. He was aged 55.
Tribune Online learnt that he died of COVID-19 complications in the early hours of Tuesday, at a private hospital in Lagos.
Odubela was elevated to the status of Senior Advocate of Nigeria on the 18th of September, 2017.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria according to a reliable source had been hospitalized and in isolation for about two weeks, before his passage on Tuesday.
He was Commissioner during the first term in office of the immediate Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
The Ikenne Remo born indigene was equally the Director-General of Prince Dapo Abiodun Governorship Campaign Committee.
Odubela graduated from Ogun State University with a Bachelorā€™s Degree in Law and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990.
The late lawyer obtained a Master of Laws degree from the University of Lagos in 1995.
The deceased was a member of the International Bar Association and the Nigerian Bar Association.
He was a Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
