Mobihealth International has announced the appointment of Funke Feyisitan Ladimeji, Fola Akande, and Isaac Ewaleifoh as the company’s board of directors.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mobihealth, Dr Funmi Adewara, stated that ─ as a pioneering telehealth company that provides access to affordable healthcare services across Africa and globally by connecting patients with medical professionals from around the world, especially in underserved regions ─ the track records of their board of directors and staff reflect such mission and goal.
Adewara also stated that the new appointments will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to further strengthen Mobihealth’s mission and commitment to delivering innovative healthcare solutions and driving impactful change in the digital health landscape.
She said that the personalities of Funke Feyisitan Ladimeji, Fola Akande, and Isaac Ewaleifoh as their board of directors, as well as their wealth of experience across finance, law, and strategy, will “significantly bolster Mobihealth’s efforts to scale and deepen access to world-class healthcare services through telemedicine, particularly in underserved communities.”
Adewara described Funke Feyisitan Ladimeji as a dynamic and influential business leader with a history of steering organisations ─ aligning and positioning people, businesses, and operations for current performance, and for future trends and relevance.
Funkean, current Executive Director, COO and Executive Compliance Officer for Coronation Merchant Bank, has nearly 30 years of international experience in shaping strategy and driving excellence and performance in banking and financial services in Europe, North America and Asia, as well as in Africa’s emerging markets.
The Mobihealth CEO further described Funke Ladimeji as a thought leader with proven expertise in transforming operations, people, and culture to address global, regional, and local influences.
“Well connected to peers, captains of industry, and government representatives, Funke Ladimeji builds partnerships and forges a collaborative approach to major challenges,” she added.
Adewara stated that Fola Akande, former Chief Counsel of West Africa/Secretary, Cadbury Nigeria PLC, will bring a strong legal background with over two decades of experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance into Mobihealth’s operations.
“Fola Akande’s profound knowledge of regulatory frameworks will guide Mobihealth’s expansion and ensure adherence to global healthcare and technology standards,” she said.
Dr Adewara said that Isaac Ewaleifoh has a rich background in finance and investments, and also has a track record of driving growth and innovation in various sectors.
“His expertise in strategic financial management and business development will help Mobihealth pursue sustainable growth and explore new opportunities in the digital health space,” she added.
