The Executive Director, Housing, Finance and Accounts, Federal Housing Authority, Dr Matthias Byuan has stated that the Federal Government is committed to build 5,000 housing units in each state of the federation.
Byuan stated this during a reception held in his honor at the Maitama residence of the Leader of APC, Benue State and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume.
He said that the housing units was meant for low income earners.
Byuan thanked President Bola Tinubu, for the appointment and praised Akume’s leadership skills and support, which he acknowledged as having helped to facilitate his appointment.
He said, “Akume is a politician, a father, and a selfless leader who is approachable by people of various backgrounds. He is also modest, kind, and humanitarian.”
Byuan urged the people to keep praying and standing by the SGF in his quest to bring more Benue sons and daughters into the national spotlight.
Earlier, Elder Simon Shango, Chairman of the APC Elders Council, Benue State, thanked Akume for facilitating another appointment for a Benue son and praised the newly appointed for being a real party man.
Shango encouraged the Benue people to continue to support and pray for the president and SGF.
Other speakers at the event, Helen Atom, Terseer Ugbor, member representing Kwande/ Ushongo federal constituency and the state party chairman, Austin Agada all eulogised the leadership qualities of Senator Akume.
