MINISTER of State for Science and Technology, Barrister Mohammed Abdullahi, has called on Nigerian students to join the train in encouraging their peers and younger ones to embrace Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
He gave the charge when the Natural and Applied Science Students Association (NASSA) of Nasarawa State University paid him a courtesy visit on his office, in Abuja.
Abdullahi said STEM is important to national development, as the fate of the global community lay solidly in these subjects.
The minister further said that science and technology played a central role in all spheres of global affairs today, whether military, economy, entertainment and tothers.
He assured the students of continuous support with regards to their research materials, facilities and welfare, adding that the students would be invited to conferences hosted by the ministry.
Abdullahi also expressed his gratitude for the honour and support showed his office.
Earlier, the President of NASSA, Suhailu Adam Yahaya, praised the minister for his dynamic and exemplary leadership.
