WORKERS of Federal University Lokoja on Monday shun the nationwide strike embarked upon by non-academic staff of universities across the country.
When Tribune Online visited the University campus on Monday, academic activities were going on without any problem, as both non-teaching and teaching staff performed their functions.
The campus was very peaceful without any sign of strike or demonstration, as security men of the institution were at work and strategic positions in the institution.

A non-academic staff who spoke with Tribune Online said they are not in support of the strike. He added that strike has affected the growth of University education in the country.
According to him, there are many ways to address issues but continued strike is not an option. He, therefore, called on the leadership of non-academic staff to look for another channel to press home their demands.
