Netizens are divided after popular singer and superstar Chike decided to reward a troll with N1 million following a disparaging remark made about him.
Yesterday, the “Running (to you)” artist gave N1 million to a fan who had criticized him, suggesting that Chike owed his success to the late singer Mohbad. Chike dismissed the comment as coming from a “hungry troll” but still chose to gift the critic the substantial amount.
This move has sparked controversy online, with many people questioning the appropriateness of Chike’s decision. Critics argue that the singer’s actions might be encouraging negativity, while overlooking the support and positive feedback from his other fans who engage with him more respectfully.
Phconfidential reasoned: “Moral of the story: Ignoring a hater could save you a million bucks!”
annie_gold001 commented: “Nobody made chike????..BOO OF THE BOOLESSS remains the best album ever released in Nigeria ????”
wallpaperplace remarked: “So Money Dey hatred business like this?? ????”
ckgramm stated: “Omo hatred just pay for my front now now? Chisoss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????”
