Expert calls for cross border collaboration to boost Africa’s digital integration

Published by

An expert in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Stanley Jegede has advocated for collaboration across borders, harmonise regulatory frameworks, and co-invest in next-generation infrastructure to advance digital integration in Africa.

Jegede, the Executive Chairman of Phase3, a leading West Africa’s digital infrastructure and technology provider,
made the call in a statement on Wednesday.

While noting that Phase3 is championing Africa’s digital integration as platinum partner at CCT Africa 2025 the CCT Africa 2025 Summit, Jegede reaffirmed the company’s commitment to advancing a unified, inclusive, and future-ready digital ecosystem across the continent.

Holding from July 7 to 9 in Mauritius, CCT Africa 2025 convenes top executives in cloud, content, and telecoms to spark collaborative dialogue and drive bold strategies for Africa’s digital future.

According to the statement, the summit emphasises cross-border infrastructure, open access, and sustainable investments as key pillars of regional transformation.

“As a long-standing advocate of digital inclusion and infrastructure resilience, Phase3 enters this year’s summit with a sharp focus on accelerating cloud frameworks, expanding intelligent fibre infrastructure, and championing cross-border collaboration to power Africa’s connected future.

“Africa’s digital progress depends on how well we collaborate across borders, harmonise regulatory frameworks, and co-invest in next-generation infrastructure,” Jegede, Executive chairman of Phase3 said.

“At CCT Africa 2025, we are not just contributing to the conversation- we are helping shape the blueprint for a digitally enabled continent. This is about building resilient systems, equitable access, and future-shaping platforms,” he added

Backed by over two decades of strategic fibre deployment, enterprise-grade solutions, and satellite integration, Phase3 is trusted by governments, hyperscalers, and high-growth ventures to deliver intelligent infrastructure that supports both regional ambitions and global connectivity goals.

“It is no longer just about access- it is about performance, proximity, and purpose,” Mr. Vikram Bhatnagar, Chief Digital Officer, Phase3 stated.

“At Phase3, we are engineering smarter digital corridors- from edge data centres to cloud exchange points- to meet the evolving needs of Africa’s digital economy. CCT Africa is a key platform to forge strategic partnerships and drive transformation at scale,” Jegede stated.

He further noted that as Africa redefines its digital identity on the global stage, Phase3’s active presence at CCT Africa 2025 underscores its bold mission: to lead with purpose, scale with trust, and deliver long-term value to businesses, institutions, and communities across West Africa and beyond.
