Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State has been honoured with the chieftaincy title of Apesin Apogun P’ote, by the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe, on Friday.
Oba Adejugbe also honoured Gombe State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Dankwambo with a chieftaincy title of Akinmuagun, while his wife, Hajia Ummi Adama, was conferred with Yeye Akinmuagun of Ado Ekiti.
Also, Hon Ladipo Adebutu representing Remo Constituency in the House of Representatives was honoured with the chieftaincy title of Ajirosola.
Earlier before their installation as Ewi chiefs, both Fayose and Dankwambo, on Thursday, commissioned a new hall built by the Ekiti State government in honour Oba Adejugbe and Ado Ekiti people.
A former Benue State Governor, Mr Gabriel Suswam, a chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), a former Minister of Health, Mr Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi, traditional rulers from both Ekiti and Gombe States and other important dignitaries attended the ceremony.
