A don at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-ife, Osun State, Dr Adeniran Busuyi of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology has said that the unrest in the world will continue until humanity embraces kindness as a way of life.
Dr Busuyi made the recommendation at the university’s Conference Hall at an event to celebrate the 60th birthday of Mr Olumide Adewale, saying that “the world is going through various mishaps the latest being the war between Russia and Ukraine as the act of kindness and humanity had been lost in today’s people.
“In Nigeria today, we are battling banditry, kidnapping, ritual killing and other forms of violence. The question is, are we to blame religious, political or traditional leaders on some of the problems in the world today?” he queried.
“Today, people have lost their hearts of kindness and humanity,” he said.
