Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has declared that Nigerians need to fast and pray to bring the plan and purpose of God to pass in Nigeria and also pray for those in leadership positions.
The Vice President who stated this at the Special Prayer for 2019 General election organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria Plateau State chapter said Christians are the salt of the world and mandated to heal the land and implement God’s plan by being salt of the nation.
“The destiny of this nation rest upon us, if we look elsewhere, there is the tendencies for us to make mistake. We are supposed to be fearless like Mordecai and Esther and be more alive to our responsibilities to our nation.

” To bring God’s plan and purposes to pass in this nation, we must fast and pray for those in government because we are the salt of the world. God has plan for our nation, therefore, we should continue to pray in order to experience peace”
He commended Governor Simon Lalong for the prevailing peace on the Plateau adding that this was a result of his efforts and determinations couple with prayers of the people.
Professor Osinbajo who said God has plan for individuals and nation stated that he never thought of being a vice president of Nigeria before his nomination as the vice presidential candidate in 2014 adding that everyone including a nation needs to seek the face of the Lord.
Said he:” In 2014 I was minding my business when I was nominated as the Vice Presidential candidate, I never expected that I would be nominated but when I told my father in the Lord, Pastor E.A Adeboye I expected him to no but he encouraged me”.
In his address, Governor Lalong of Plateau State thanked God for sparing the life of the Vice President in a recent helicopter crash adding that his escape along with others in the crash was miraculous.
The governor who said only God can decide who will be president of Nigeria enjoined politicians especially candidates to be ready to accept whatever come their way in the election.
