The Ekiti State Government has pledged its support to the activities of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS) for the year.
The Ekiti State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Chief Oladiran Adesua made the pledge when the National and State executives of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors paid a courtesy visit to him ahead of the Annual General Meeting which is to be held in Ekiti State later in the year.
According to him, “I’ve told the Surveyor General that he should come up with a checklist of what and in what areas the Ekiti State Government can be of assistance because the offer of the venue is number one and then the presence of Mr Governor at your opening ceremony to declare the conference open. Everything we are discussing now will be communicated to Mr Governor who is going to be on the seat at the conference.
“I want to assure you that this government and the administration of Dr John Kayode Fayemi is fully prepared as much as possible.”
Earlier, the national president of the NIS, Dr Kayode Oluwamotemi Fnis solicited the assistance of the government for the success of the programme.
According to him, the assistance needed from the state government is so enormous that the association will be highly appreciative of the government can refer those requests for a befitting hosting.
In his remarks, the chairman of the Ekiti State branch of NIS, Surveyor T.O Ajala Mnis promised that the safety of the delegates and visitors would be guaranteed by the NIS.
