The Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Hajiya Ireti Kingibe, has felicitated with Christians, especially those in her constituents, on the Easter celebration.
The Federal Government has declared Friday, 18th April and Monday, 21st April, 2025 as public holidays to mark the celebrations of Good Friday and Easter Monday respectively.
Senator Kingibe, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Kennedy Mbele, prays that this year’s celebration of Christ’s resurrection brings abundant joy, love and peace into the country.
The lawmaker strongly condemns the incessant killings across the country and calls on the government at all levels to do all they can, within the law, to stop further bloodshed in the land.
“Senator Kingibe commends security agencies for their efforts in fighting insecurity across the country but would please want them to do more and also prays that God continues to guide and protect them as they struggle to recover their fatherland from wicked aggressors and wishes all a memorable Easter celebration.”
