‘Easter is a pivot of faith in Christendom’

LAWNA Territorial Chairman, The Apostolic Church, Pastor Emmanuel Awojide, has described Easter as the pivot of faith in Christendom, adding that it is the atoning death and resurrection of Christ.

Speaking further on the significance of the festival, he noted that it is an occasion of the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. By his death the sin of the world was taken away, and man was reconciled to the Father.

“If Christ had not died, the faith of Christians would have been in vain; it marks the foundation of Christianity.  Distinguishing her from other religion, because there is no other religious leader that is known to have died and resurrected like Jesus Christ,” he added.

Awojide, however, described COVID-19 pandemic as a symptom of the end time as there would be pestilences.

He, therefore, prayed for all those who have contracted the disease that the Lord would touch them and heal them, and the bereaved families, that they be comforted.

The LAWNA chairman, however, noted that the world should come to repentance and look unto Jesus for salvation.
