A prominent leader in Okere-Urhobo, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, Chief Emmanuel Okumagba, has declared that the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Great Ogboru, cannot defeat the incumbent Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) come 2019 governorship election.
Chief Okumagba made the statement on Monday when Hon Matthew Poko Opuoru, the Delta House of Assembly candidate for Warri South constituency II under the PDP, paid him a condolence visit over the death of his mother Warri.
Describing Ogboru as one who “constantly fails,” Chief Okumagba averred that “it will be a tall order for him to beat our governor.”

Okumagba, who was a former chairman of the State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB), stressed that “All those who are trying to perpetrate evil against him (Okowa) have misfired and will continue to misfire.”
He said if the APC had emerged with a governorship candidate from Delta North Senatorial District, the battle for who takes over the Government House come 2019 would have been tough for Okowa, adding that he would work for the success of Hon Opuoru ahead State House of Assembly election come 2019.
Meanwhile, the PDP Delta State House of Assembly’s candidate for Warri South Constituency II, Hon Opuoru said but for Chief Okumagba and Chief Israel Abido, his name would be substituted by some persons at the Office of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Abuja.
Just watch and see in 2019. You will be the one to congratulate him for his victory over okowa.
