The Aliko Dangote Foundation has launched the 2025 Annual National Food Intervention Project, valued at N16 billion, aiming to distribute 1 million 10kg bags of rice to vulnerable Nigerians across 774 Local Government Areas.
The project was launched in Kano State, where 120,000 bags of 10kg rice will be distributed across 44 Local Government Areas. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf commended Mr. Dangote’s commitment to addressing poverty and hunger in Nigeria.
The foundation has collaborated with state governments to ensure the food reaches the most vulnerable individuals in each state. The project is part of the foundation’s response to the current economic challenges facing Nigeria.
Mr. Aliko Dangote, represented by his daughter Maria, emphasized the foundation’s commitment to supporting communities in line with its core values.
