The Federal Government has donated the sum of N1billion and 150 trucks of foodstuffs to Jigawa State as part of the FG intervention for COVID-19 management in the state.
Jigawa State governor, Alhaji Abubakar Badaru announced the receipt of the donation during a special media broadcast to the people of the state on Saturday.
He said the state has concluded plans for the distribution of the palliatives, adding that about 100 people are expected to benefit in each of the polling units across the state.
Badaru said: “The state government has received N1 billion and 150 trucks of foodstuffs as Federal Government intervention for COVID-19 pandemic.
“We must express our appreciation to the President Buhari for the Federal Government’s cash assistant of N1 billion and 150 trucks of foodstuffs to the state,” Badaru added.
